What age is BookIsles for?
Roughly ages 3 to 11. Younger children use “Read to me” and listen along; older ones read by themselves with help available on any word they get stuck on.
Do I need to know my child's reading level?
No. You can browse by age instead, and the levels are explained in plain English in our guides. If your child's school has given you a level, you can jump straight to it.
Is it safe for my child to use alone?
Yes. There are no ads, no chat, no comments and no open internet — a child can only reach books you or their teacher have allowed.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Pages scale to fit whatever screen you're on, so a book looks right on a phone, a tablet or a laptop.
